The Exwell Back Pressure Valve is designed to control the pressure within the coiled tubing. Thevalve enables a hydrostatic head from above to be maintained against a spring loaded piston.The valve can be adjusted by inserting spacers to vary the amount of hydrostatic overbalance, orpressure differential. The Exwell back pressure valve provides a circulation path against a pre-set back Pressure. TheHover" pressure required to open the valve may be varied by inserting an appropriate spacer -contact our sales department for specific requirements. Provided the internal coiled tubingpressure exceeds the pre-set back pressure, then flow is directed to the BHA. lfthe coiled tubingpressure drops below the setback pressure, the springs return the valve, automaticallypreventing reverse flow. BEFORE REMOVING THE BACK PRESSURE VALVE FROM THE TOOLSTRING, FIRST ASCERTAINTHATTHERE IS NO TRAPPED PRESSURE WITHIN THE TOOL.
