The Exwell OK Series kickover tools are wireline service tools used to install and retrieve 1" O.D. wirelinedevices in Cameo KBMG, KBG and KBUG series side pocket mandrels with reduced l.D. passages above themandrels.The Exwell OK Series kickover tool is lowered into the well by standard wireline techniques until the tool isbelow the selected mandrel. As the tool string is raised through the tubing, the locating finger ofthe kickovertool contacts the stop in the orienting guide sleeve in the mandrel, and the kick spring pivots the lowersection of the kickover tool, the pulling or running tool and the valve into the kicked over position. Theorienting guide sleeve in the mandrel provides positive installation and retrieval of the wireline device by thekickover tool. Once the wireline device is installed or retrieved, a shear pin in the finger housing and releaseplunger assembly is sheared to permit the kickover tool to pass through all mandrels above the one in whichthe wireline operation was performed.The Exwell OM Series kickovertool is a slickline service tool used to install and retrieve valvesinto the pocket of side pocket mandrels.The Exwell OM Series kickover tool is run into the well using standard slickline techniques. As the tool stringis pulled back up through the side pocket mandrel the helix profile in the orienting sleeve rotates thekickover tool into the correct position so that the valve is aligned with the mandrel side pocket. Once theslickline device is installed or retrieved, a shear pin in the finger housing and locating finger assembly issheared. The finger retraction feature holds the sheared locating finger in the finger housing, which permitsthe kickover tool to pass through the mandrel and through all mandrels above the one in which the slicklineoperation was performed.
