The Exwell Wireline Valve (BOP) is designed to provide apositive seal around slick line or cable. This allows theperformance of work, under pressure, on surfaceequipment, when the line is still in the wellbore. Thewireline valve is placed between the wellhead andlubricator assembly.
The Exwell Wireline Valve is of Mono-Block/Light weightconstruction and is designed for use in single, dual, tripleor quad configurations. The wireline valve closuredesign consists of two ram assemblies manually Ihydraulically compressed around the line from oppositesides. This affects a seal and thus contains well pressurebelow the rams. Pressure across the rams is equalizedthrough a flanged equalizing manifold prior to retractingthe rams and opening the valve.
Exwell wireline Valve design allows for easy change outof end caps, for hydraulically operated actuators. It isavailable in a full range of sizes and working pressures,from 2 1/2" to 6.62" bore sizes, and 5,000 psi to 15,000psi working pressures. Additional sizes are available onrequest.
For greater corrosion resistance all sizes of ExwellWireline Valves can be supplied with Xylan coated in theram bores and the through bore.
