The Exwell Wireline Stuffing Box is used when it is necessary to perform wireline work under well pressure. The sheave assembly allows the line to be guided in its travels from the wireline unit into and through the Stuffing Box Body. The wireline passes through the packing in the Stuffing Box Body; the packing nut is then hydraulically activated or manually tightened sufficiently to minimize leakage around the wireline. A blow-out plug is situated in the lower section of the body and in the event of wire failure the plug will automatically seal off well pressure to the surface. The hydraulic packing nut is recommended for use during remote operations. / Optional Features (As on request): A bleed-off port situate in the main body. This is used to expel air from the lubricator during pressure testing operations.
