The Exwell Releasable Overshot is used to well-bore during wireline fishing operation.Overshots consist of hardened steel slips with sharpened upward teeth. They are used tobring a sub-surface tool or part of wireline tools that are lost in well-bore due to wear ormechanical damage to the fishing neck. The Releasable Overshot has the advantage that, should the fish become stuck, it can bereleased, Downward jarring will shear the shear pins releasing the overshot slips fromaround the fish.
