The Exwell Coiled Tubing Hydro-Mechanical Jar has been developed around the successful Wire line HydroMechanicalJar. However, this design is fully torque through and incorporates a through bore to convey fluids.The unique hydraulic/mechanical release mechanism combines the simplicity of the Hydraulic Jar (nocalibration requirements) with the reliability of the MechanicalJar (reduced hydraulic stroke). The features unite to provide a jar that will always fire irrespective of what load is applied and which is less proneto gassing up. Jarring action is initiated by applying a tensile load to the toolstring. For simplicity/costeffectiveness a custom designed disc spring accelerator is offered, which complements the Jar by increasing theimpact load.
